The Spring Edition and a Giveaway

March 1, 2011

Spring has sprung at Rhythm of The Home, and we are so excited to see the 2011 Spring edition now live. There are over 60 incredible projects, articles, recipes and crafts to enjoy during this beautiful season, and we hope that you will grab a cup of tea and something yummy, and enjoy every bit of it.

In honor of the new launch, we are once again hosting a huge giveaway from many of our contributing authors. Below you will find the collection of giveaway items that are available. To enter, simply leave a comment with your preference, and we will announce the winners on Monday, March 7th.

Eileen is  offering a free Spring Weekday Childcare Menu (focusing on Steiner’s grain and color of the day) along with a free April Five Day Lesson Plan Guide.

Julia is offering all of the supplies needed to make a Painted Wooden Travel Playset.

Kristie is providing one free enrollment in her course “Typology and Temperament for Healing & Homeschooling” as well as one free webinar download and one free E-book from The Waldorf Channel.

Jules is offering one spot in her online cooking class.

Nicola is offering one reader a set of twig crayons and a stitched notebook.

Laura is kindly offering the purple new baby dress made using her crochet pattern from this issue.

Kathy is offering a space in her sewing ecourse “Backwoods Mama Sew Camp”. It’s a four week long sewing class/sewalong for advanced beginners that includes paper patterns for the four projects we will be working through.

Kendra is offering one reader a woolly nest and felted egg.

Liv is giving away a colored pencil roll, art tote bag and clipboard for kids to use in creating art for their garden journal.  As well as a copy of one of her favorite gardening reference books, The Garden Primer by Barbara Damrosch.

Erin is kindly offering a reader a magical wand just like the one in her tutorial, as well as a wooden fairy.

Chris is giving away a darling Spring Lamb birthday candle holder.  A natural addition to a March or spring birthday cake.

Sharifa is offering a recording of a talk that she gave on play on Waldorf Connection last Fall.

Shannon is offering a week long spot in an unbelievable one week e-camp that she is teaching at called Wish Big e-camp.

Rachel is offering some calendula seeds and a jar of homemade calendula salve.

Mary is donating a kids’ EP, called Hands Up Clap!.

Valarie is giving away one copy of “Coyote’s Guide To connecting with Nature” by Jon Young, Ellen Haas, Evan Mcgown.

Fiona is generously offering a materials kit for the Little Sprouts project featured in this issue, plus a $25.00 gift certificate for yarns or wool fibres in her shop.

I would love to win the “Backwoods Mama Sew Camp” giveaway! It is the answer to my sewing and clothing rut. I have been searching etsy and wondering how I could teach myself to make these very patterns!

It’s been a long winter for us here, and I am so pleased to see the Spring edition. I know Spring is coming, although it doesn’t look like it outside my window, yet. All the items in the giveaway are so wonderful and generous. I love them. Most of all, I think I would use the Calendula salve the most.

I am new to Rhythm, having learned about it from my friend Nicola (which name). I am enjoying my first edition; full of so many fantastic ideas for craft, garden and home. The link is to my daughter’s blog – she’s is 6 and in school with Nicola’s daughter (she insisted on having a blog after seeing Nicola’s). Erin’s little wooden fairy and wand would be loved and cherised by my fairy adorer daughter, but then we have Lindsey’s lovely placemats and napkins and one could never go wrong with having a jar of calendula salve around! Really, though, I would be happy with any one of these beautiful treasures.

A friend introduced me to your blog today – yay! I love the way you are facing your Spring as we head into Autumn here – enjoy the brightening days as ours fade into the cooler months. We have had to move into a tiny home lately and I have had to put away so much of my daughter’s treasures – I love the travel set because she loves building and painting and it would go a long way to filling the gap left by all the toys that can’t fit into our new (and so much smaller) home…
